Biography
Chris Peters lives in Los Angeles, California. He creates his photographs of the American Southwest using vintage lenses manufactured in the 1930s.
He trained for three years at the Gage Academy of Art, completing their program that emphasizes academic painting techniques. He uses his knowledge of classical painting to create photographs in an iconic style.
His paintings have been exhibited in numerous galleries devoted to the Los Angeles Pop Surrealism / Lowbrow Art movement, including Copro Gallery in Santa Monica, La Luz de Jesus in Hollywood, and Last Rites Gallery in NYC.
